Two Pieces for Liminal Spaces comes from my fascination with the surreal, disturbing, and nostalgic rooms made famous in recent years throughout the internet. They have an uneasy quality about them, always making you think like you’ve been there in the past, like an obfuscated childhood memory. With Daniel’s uniquely tuned vibraphone, I felt like I had the opportunity to explore what these rooms could sound like. The music works to hearken back memories of the past, but always becoming ‘corrupted’ as the patterns and melodies develop.
